HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! And Favourite Projects from 2013

A VERY happy New Year to you!
Here's to wishing the most amazing year ahead!!
(clink clink)
Cheers!

2013 Favourite Projects:

I think one of the things that I love to do is extending the photo into the background... just trying to cast the eye further....  this pic for sure felt 'cut-off' at the roof-line... sooooo fixed that! Also placed some leaves to look like bushes out from behind the barn.

Again, the tree felt 'cut-off'.... so used some watercolour pencils and sewing machine... also extended the ground -horizon

Just love brown paper bags!

This photo has a door cut out so the drippage can be seen

Hannah... this photo always makes me smile

The drippage became branches....

Vintage square lace doily carefully folded, glued and made into an envelope - its fragile and delicate.

A forest of greens and blues

Again, extending the photo up into full trees and along to cast a ground-horizon....., cut out the gate to see the photo behind...

Every now and then....   art - black ink and watercolour

Sketched, water-coloured and cut out the gum-nuts and leaves.  The girls were swinging on a huge gum tree, so put in a token of this....

This will be a book of quotes... especially for Hannah when its finish.

Going from cool to warm colours....

Another piece - sketch, barely see colour and photographed with a branch in front..

I LOVE lino cuts... this is only one of many small ones - some I use for stamps in scrapbooking, some are much bigger for lino printing.

is a fuzzy part of a fan seen in the photograph...keeping Hannah cool on a hot night...so recreated the fan grid in the background

 Pastels

Extending the background to create a bigger scene...
Photo was used on a program, Paige danced the dying Swan...
Acrylic paint and black ink

December Daily Cover....
Havent quite finished this yet... needs rings and trim!

Another year done and dusted!

I just got to your blog via CJS14 and love it. As a fellow scrapper, I'm in love with some of your layouts - lovely, lovely work.

Happy new year my friend!
You have a style that is uniquely yours as shown in these awesome layouts. It is a gift...when you can take current products and put your Mandy spin on it. Always a fan.

Lovely work, you are truly an artist. I'm especially taken with the doilies, though.
